Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift Metal Finisher for its Vadnais Heights, MN location. You will grind burrs and finish critical surfaces using hand tools and portable grinders, guided by blueprints and tolerances.

You should be able to read drawings, interpret specifications, and operate with a focus on quality while supporting a clean, safe workspace. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication experience preferred.
• Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive work for up to 10 hours per day.
• Wear required PPE.

Responsabilités

• Grinds burrs and sharp edges using hand tools and portable grinders.
• Finish parts to specification on critical surfaces with hand tools, portable grinders, Timesaver, Loewer and Straight Liner.
• Read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Study drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine finish conditions and setup requirements.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or damaged finishing tools.
• Enter labor and materials into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with management and shop personnel to resolve machining or quality issues.

Position Summary

• Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
