Position Overview

As part of the Operations team, you will set up and operate automatic or semi‑automatic machines in a continuous production operation. Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Essential Functions

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Measuring and marking out placement for components.
• Setting up metalwork machinery—including cold saw, drill presses, band saw, notcher, belt sander, tape measure and/or calipers.
• Double‑checking design specifications before commencing cutting work.
• Fabricating and constructing metal components.
• Grinding and finishing completed products.
• Performing quality checks on completed products.
• Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
• Completing daily logs.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a Metal Fabricator or in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
• Ability to follow all training procedures in place.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools—including cold saw, tape measure, band saw, general power tools and drill presses.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and physical condition.

Working Conditions

• Stand for full shift, walk, sit, use hand to touch or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Non‑A/C work area; noise level can periodically be higher than normal; hearing protection may be required.
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal pieces.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range is $18‑$23 per hour, hourly. Base pay will vary based on multiple factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
