Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Metal Edge Estimator for our 1st shift at the Corporate Headquarters in Saginaw, MI. You will estimate pricing for edge and drainage products, perform takeoffs from drawings, develop quotes, and coordinate with manufacturing to meet project timelines.

Ideal candidates read construction drawings, have experience estimating metal edges, and are proficient with CAD tools. Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management are essential in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, details, and specifications.
  • Experience estimating architectural sheet metal, edge metal, or similar custom-fabricated products.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with custom dimensions and project-specific requirements.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work, including back-to-back calls and multiple active projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project information and tracking through internal task systems.
  • Provide responsive customer support and follow-up to contractors and partners.
  • Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner in all customer and internal interactions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

EXCEPTIONAL Metals is seeking a Metal Edge Estimator to support and grow within ourorganization. This is a 1st shift position located at our Corporate Headquarters in Saginaw, MI.

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (\"PPE\"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
