Job summary

Disney Entertainment & Sports LLC in Glendale, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Metadata Tagger to support content enrichment across our streaming platform ecosystem. You will apply descriptive metadata—genres, themes, keywords, and other descriptors—to power search, recommendations, and user discovery.

The role requires at least 3 years of related experience, proficiency with CMS platforms, and the ability to follow a structured taxonomy.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of related experience in metadata tagging or content operations.
Experience with CMS platforms or metadata management tools.
Strong understanding of storytelling, narrative structure, and genres in media.
Ability to apply established metadata standards and controlled vocabularies.
Excellent organizational and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Watch and review film, television, and short-form content to determine descriptor tagging.
Apply metadata descriptors including genres, themes, moods, and keywords.
Analyze story structure and themes to ensure accurate tagging.
Learn and apply a comprehensive taxonomy across all content.
Ensure metadata accuracy, consistency, and quality across titles.
Collaborate with editorial, taxonomy, QA, and operations teams.
Input, review, and publish metadata in CMS systems.
Meet deadlines, throughput targets, and delivery schedules.
