Job summary

Metso in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Welder to join our Repairs Welding team. You will support repair and manufacturing of mining and process equipment and report to the Repair Production Manager. This is a full-time, on-site role with overtime and travel as needed.

You will lay out parts, perform various welding processes, and ensure work meets specifications. We value safety, reliability, and teamwork in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding experience and ability to pass a welding test to required specs.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and welding details.
• Experience with welding and fabrication machinery and tools and maintenance.
• Intermediate math skills for measurement and calculations.
• Strong safety, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Welding certifications 2G/3G/4G preferred.
• 5+ years in related repair and fabrication environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and processes (stick, MIG, SAW, semi-automatic, oxyfuel).
• Cut and excavate cracks using air carbon arc and oxyfuel/plasma tracks.
• Center and secure workpieces on rotary tilt positioners and adjust weld parameters.
• Heat, form, finish, grind, and dress metal parts with hand tools and equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move pieces up to 65 tons.
• Perform routine maintenance and document inspections; maintain housekeeping.
• Follow safety and plant rules with high attention to detail.
