Job summary

Roima Intelligence Inc. is seeking a seasoned MES & SCADA Lead Consultant with a strong AVEVA focus to design and deliver enterprise-scale MES/SCADA solutions.

You will work with customers to capture requirements and translate them into robust AVEVA architectures, spanning plant-floor HMIs to enterprise data platforms. Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field or 5+ years MES/SCADA/PLC-DCS experience.
• Proficiency in .NET, SQL, Java, C/C++, JavaScript; SSRS a plus.
• Strong customer-facing communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a plant environment.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Preferred: production IT experience in manufacturing or process industries.

Responsibilities

• Produce functional and detailed design specs, test procedures, architecture docs and user docs.
• Design, configure, program and maintain MES/SCADA systems on AVEVA.

• Lead installation, testing and commissioning, provide on-site support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on time.
• Review deliverables and mentor colleagues to build AVEVA competence.

Your role

• Analyze user requirements specifications, and work with customers to understand their needs and recommend improvements
• Design and lead AVEVA-based MES/SCADA solutions, from architecture to delivery
• Produce functional and detailed design specifications, test procedures, system architecture documents and user documentation
• Design, configure, program and maintain MES/SCADA systems, mainly on AVEVA System Platform and AVEVA MES
• Test MES/SCADA functionality so that it delivers consistent and reliable results
• Lead installation, testing and commissioning, and give technical support on site
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time
• Review project deliverables and mentor colleagues, building AVEVA competence across the team

Hands-on experience with the AVEVA portfolio (formerly Wonderware and OSIsoft) is a major advantage, especially:

• AVEVA System Platform and AVEVA Operations Management Interface (OMI)
• AVEVA InTouch HMI

What we’re looking for

• A degree in computer science or a related technical field, and/or 5+ years of experience with MES, SCADA or PLC/DCS
• Skills in .NET, SQL, Java, C/C++, JavaScript or web-based technologies. Experience with SSRS reporting is a plus.
• A true team player who enjoys working directly with customers
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to manage several tasks with attention to detail
• Willingness to work in a plant environment when needed
• Curiosity, a fast learning ability and eagerness to learn new things
• Fluency in English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills

Preferred experience: A background in production-related IT in manufacturing or process industries.
