The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation’s most pressing security challenges.
We have an immediate need for a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to provide onsite support out of the Mark Center.

Responsibilities

The candidate will support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War (DASW) for Global Investment and Economic Security (GIES) to evaluate the potential impact of mergers, acquisitions, teaming agreements, and other joint business arrangements between firms affecting the defense industry. This evaluation includes effects on national security, the industrial and technology base, innovation, cost savings, and other factors identified in the Department of War`s (DOW) Directive 5000.62 on evaluating mergers and acquisitions. The candidate will support DoW in developing risk mitigation options and monitoring for compliance of consent order decrees.

Required
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Finance or general business Bachelor's degree with course work involving economics, competition, and antitrust law and policy
  • 5+ years of total experience with 2+ years supporting national security or commercial finance
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
  • Ability to travel
Desired
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial investment, economic market analysis, defense industry analysis, business organization, technology development, manufacturing base, and supply chain management
  • Experience with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976
  • Private sector audit or compliance experience
  • Master's degree in the areas of business, finance, economics, or national security
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $140,000.00/Yr.
