Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring for its 2027 Merchandising Summer Internship Program at the Store Support Center in Brentwood, TN. This 11-week, hands-on program targets students pursuing retail merchandising careers.

Interns will rotate across Buying, Product Development, Merchandising Operations & Events, Merchandise Presentation, or Data & Analytics, gain exposure to merchandising lifecycle, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, and may be considered for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Retail Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville area for the duration of the internship

Responsibilities

• Support buying teams with product assortment, category analysis, vendor relationships, competitive research, and other activities that contribute to category performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support development and introduction of products, conduct market research
• Plan and execute merchandising events and promotions, both in-store and online
• Support planogram development, space planning, and product placement strategies
• Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights and monitor KPIs
