Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Merchandising Specialist in Vallejo, CA to stock, front and maintain the showroom, and prepare items for sale. You will greet customers on the sales floor, assist with locating merchandise, and ensure displays reflect company guidelines and pricing.

Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential; bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged. This role may include occasional cashier duties and driving deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise.
• Check in, price, and stock items.
• Keep display floor full and fronted; update planograms and price labels as needed.
• Remove sale materials when sale ends and restore pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the store manager on weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Compensation Pay Range

$16.90 - $24.90. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Merchandising Specialist will keep the front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on the sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in location of merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure “sale” signs are in place.
• Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Strong organizational skills.

• Previous stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
