Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Merchandising Specialist to maintain a professional showroom, assist customers on the sales floor, and support stock and merchandising tasks. The role may include cashier duties or delivering parts in some situations.

Spanish language ability is highly desired, and a driving record meeting company requirements is needed for delivery duties. Competitive wages and benefit options are offered.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor and assist with locating merchandise or directing to a parts specialist.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep display floor fronted, full, and follow company imaging guidelines.
• Update planograms, price labels and sale materials.
• Remove sale materials when promotions end and restore pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, counts, and returns.
• Collaborate with manager on weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when needed.

Job description

The Merchandising Specialist will keep front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in location of merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, ensure "sale" signs are in place, etc.
• Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Previous stocking experience
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
