Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Store Associate in California. You will greet customers, assist with locating merchandise, handle stocking and merchandising, and help manage pricing and planograms on the sales floor.

The role includes occasional cashier duties or delivery duties and requires teamwork. Bilingual abilities (Spanish) are highly valued. Competitive wages with benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
• Previous stocking experience (Desired).
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep merchandise displayed fronted and tidy; assist with O'Reilly Image Maker.
• Update displays, planograms, price labels, and sale signs.
• Remove sale materials when promotions end and restore pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Collaborate with management on weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally act as cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 - $24.90 The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in location of merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, ensure “sale” signs are in place, etc.
• Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate.
• All other duties as assigned.
