Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Merchandising Specialist in Baton Rouge, LA. You will keep the front showroom stocked, fronted, and clean, assist customers in locating merchandise, and support sales presentations with accurate pricing and displays.

Responsibilities include stocking, price labeling, planogram updates, and assisting with weekly inventory. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and occasional cashier or delivery duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Ability to read, write and match numbers accurately.
• Basic computer skills are needed for POS and stock records.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Spanish language ability is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and help locate merchandise or direct to a parts specialist.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep displays fronted, full, and aligned with store guidelines.
• Update price labels and planograms; ensure sale signs are in place.
• Remove sale materials and restore original pricing after promotions.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and returns to overstock.
• Coordinate with store manager on weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally act as cashier or drive a delivery vehicle as needed.

Job description

The Merchandising Specialist will keep front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in location of merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, ensure "sale" signs are in place, etc.
• Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate.
• All other duties as assigned.
