Job summary

MillerKnoll is seeking a Merchandising Operations Assistant to support pricing, data integrity, and reporting across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service. This role combines analytical support with hands-on data management to improve efficiency and profitability.

Based in Stamford, CT, you will maintain pricing in ERP systems, prepare recurring reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accurate analytics and streamlined processes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in pricing, sales operations, business analysis, finance, merchandising, or related analytical role.
• Experience working with large datasets and business reporting preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and basic data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Pricing Administration: Maintain pricing in ERP and pricing systems, execute price updates and promotions, and validate pricing accuracy.
• Business Operations Support: Coordinate operational activities across departments and assist with project tracking and workflow management.
• Analysis and Reporting: Prepare recurring pricing, margin, and profitability reports, investigate discrepancies, and provide ad hoc analyses.
• Market and Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to support pricing recommendations.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Category Management teams.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and develop SOPs.

About this opportunity:

The Merchandising Operations Assistant supports day-to-day business operations by coordinating pricing activities, maintaining business data, preparing reports, improving processes, and serving as a key link between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Commercial teams. This role combines analytical support with operational execution to help drive business efficiency, data accuracy, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

What you’ll do:

Pricing Administration

• Maintain customer, product, and channel pricing in ERP and pricing systems.
• Execute price updates, promotional pricing, and list price changes.
• Validate pricing accuracy and resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Support annual and ad hoc price increase processes.
• Manage pricing documentation and approval workflows.
• Coordinate vendor requests, documentation, and follow-up activities to ensure project timelines are met.
• Support margin, profitability, and pricing analyses.

Business Operations Support

• Coordinate operational activities across multiple departments.
• Assist with project tracking, process documentation, and workflow management.
• Help maintain accurate master data across ERP and reporting systems.

Analysis and Reporting

• Prepare recurring pricing, margin, and profitability reports.
• Investigate data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze pricing trends, sales performance, and customer profitability.
• Support pricing strategy evaluations through data collection and analysis.
• Identify pricing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for management decision-making.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions.
• Conduct research to support pricing recommendations.
• Track customer and market feedback related to pricing.
• Maintain competitive pricing databases and dashboards.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Category Management teams.
• Respond to pricing inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity projects.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support system enhancements, testing, and process implementation efforts.
• Promote data quality and operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in pricing, sales operations, business analysis, finance, merchandising, or a related analytical role.
• Experience working with large datasets and business reporting preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
• Knowledge of pricing concepts, margin analysis, and commercial processes.
• Experience supporting retail, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics businesses.
