Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Manager in North Carolina to lead day-to-day store operations, including floor maintenance, recovery, fitting rooms, and sizing.

You will role-model Burlington’s core values, drive results, and build strong teams and partnerships to deliver a WOW shopping experience. Responsibilities include managing sales performance, staffing, promotions, and merchandising standards while collaborating with district and regional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Retail Management experience in off-price, big-box, specialty or multi-unit retail with fashion merchandising experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience using scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the store’s sales performance daily using available sales reports.
• Guide the Selling Floor Supervisor and receiving team to expedite merchandise flow from receiving to sales floor.
• Coordinate promotions, floor sets and ensure accurate pricing of merchandise.
• Oversee floor moves, merchandise displays and presentations per merchandising concepts.
• Support the Store Manager to resolve merchandising issues and share best practices.
• Ensure sizing, signage, ticketing and packaging are up to date.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) and lead by example for customers and staff.
• Assist with staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
• Communicate effectively with District and Regional Management teams.

A Day In The Life

• Monitor the store’s sales performance on a daily basis utilizing all available sales reports.
• Provide guidance to the Selling Floor Supervisor and receiving team associates to expedite the flow of merchandise from the receiving area to the sales floor.
• Coordinate sales promotions activities, floor sets, and ensure accurate pricing of store merchandise.
• Oversee floor moves, preparation of merchandise displays and presentations consistent with merchandising concepts and guidelines.
• Support the Store Manager to resolve store merchandising issues and obtain guidance for best practices including comparative shopping analysis, fast and slow selling classifications and styles, and customer requests.
• Ensure merchandise is sized in compliance to standards, signage is appropriately replaced and updated, ticketing is accurate and up to date, and packaged merchandise is sealed.
• Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD); setting the leadership example for customers, associates, and ultimately, driving results in the store.
• Assist the Store Manager and others in areas including but not limited to staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
• Communicate effectively with the District and Regional Management teams.

You’ll Come With

• 3+ years of Retail Management experience at an Off Price, Big Box, Specialty or medium- to large-sized, multi-unit retail organization with experience in fashion apparel merchandising.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.
