Sam's Club in Butler, PA is seeking a member-focused team member to assist shoppers with self-service technology, product guidance, and purchase decisions. The role includes supporting club operations and ensuring a positive member experience in a fast-paced environment.
You may assist with supervising associates, training, stocking, merchandising, and enforcing safety and company policies while delivering top-tier service to customers.
Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, providing guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties to associates, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques to ensure complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the Open Door Policy, and participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates. Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors throughout the facility, organises and maintains the sales floor by utilising equipment, merchandising and completing paperwork logs and other required documentation per company policies. Maintains the safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps and following procedures for forklift operations, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Ensures maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation by properly handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging, and organising merchandise, setting up cleaning and organising product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise per policies, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring proper product rotation, code dating, product recalls, sanitation standards, and merchandising area categories and cleaning all departments. Oversees the picking and staging of club pick‑up orders throughout the day. Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, analysing information from multiple sources, monitoring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities. Demonstrates and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics integrity, and assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues. Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating and executing work assignments, providing advice and support to ensure quality and timelines, and modelling change adaptation.
Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00*.
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months retail experience and 6 months customer service experience.
Leading a team, supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
