Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Merchandising Internship in Council Bluffs, IA. You will explore value chains across the grain business and learn to drive sales, growth and profitability through data-driven decisions.

Located across multiple sites (Terra Haute IN, Prairie du Chien WI, Huntley MT, Rock Port MO, Henderson KY, Creston IA, Morristown IN, Council Bluffs IA, Fairmont City IL) and relocation may be required.

• Proactive development and coverage of existing sales and supplier accounts.

• Facilitate and schedule logistics for timely product delivery using barge, rail and truck modes.
• Obtain and develop merchandising skills to provide a base for future opportunities.
• Make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes while keeping the customer at the forefront.

A Day in the Life

This Merchandising Internship program is designed to introduce you to the various value chains across Bunge. During the program, you will learn to create sales and growth in the marketplace. This will help you develop arbitrage and risk management skills to reach and exceed profitability goals in the grain industry.

Locations: Terra Haute, IN, Prairie du Chien, WI, Huntley, MT, Rock Port, MO, Henderson, KY, Creston, IA, Morristown, IN, Council Bluffs, IA & Fairmont City, IL.

Location to be determined and candidate must be willing to relocate for the internship.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Proactive development and coverage of existing sales and supplier accounts. Development of prospective accounts
• Obtaining market knowledge and insight through continuous communication with product suppliers, customers, and transportation vendors
• Facilitating and scheduling logistics for timely product delivery using barge, rail and truck transportation modes
• Obtain and develop merchandising skills to provide a base for future
• Improve Bunge’s outcomes by making data-driven decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront for all they do, and proactively gaining insight into the global strategy.
• Collaborate, effectively communicate with others
• Pursue opportunities to solve problems and take action while maintaining the ability to manage work

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Agribusiness, Economics, Business or related discipline
• Preference is Junior status in the university
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Must be professionally aggressive self-motivated individual
• Able to function in fast paced environment
