Family Dollar seeks a Financial Planning Analyst to connect Merchandising financial plans to the budget and P&L process. The role partners with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an analyst, merchandising, or planner role; retail and supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and computation skills; ability to read and analyze financial reports.
• PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau or similar BI tools preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including executive presentations.

Responsibilities

• Support Merchandising Planning leadership in the annual budgeting process with driver-based targets.
• Provide focused reporting and analysis against critical business KPIs.
• Lead translation of Merchandise Financial Plans to Retail Stock Ledger, Budget and P&L.
• Act as a liaison to Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations.
• Review forecasts and outline risks and opportunities; proactively recommend actions.
• Build and maintain financial reporting for Merchandising and Planning Teams.
• Create financial models and budgets and perform ad hoc data inquiries.
• Provide financial, analytical and decision support for Family Dollar leadership.
• Lead monthly and quarterly reporting materials.
• Automate and enhance financial reporting and KPIs for clear, impactful reporting.
• Collaborate with BI teams to extract relevant data and insights.
