Job summary

Morgan Hunter is partnering with a well-known Kansas City-area organization to hire a Merchandising Specialist for a temporary assignment through the end of the year. This role will provide hands-on support to the merchandising team during a busy transition, with a strong focus on product data, vendor information, and accuracy.

The specialist will create and maintain SKUs, review vendor packets, verify pricing, and use Excel to research and validate data across systems, helping to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills, including XLOOKUP or similar functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other business applications.
• Comfortable learning and working within multiple software systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Previous merchandising or vendor data experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product SKUs and UPC codes.
• Review vendor packets and product information for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify pricing and other merchandising data.
• Route vendor agreements and documents for signatures.
• Maintain and update information across multiple internal systems.
• Use Excel to research, compare, and validate product and vendor data.
• Perform XLOOKUPs and other spreadsheet functions to support daily work.
• Assist the merchandising team with additional projects as needed.
