Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Indianapolis to work with the Store Manager, leading a dynamic team and focusing on merchandising and freight processing. You will assist with daily store operations and ensure efficiency and positive customer experiences.

The role requires retail and management experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position located at 3489 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN

Qualifications

• Previous retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent movement and standing.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Keep the sales floor sales-effective and merchandise with power panels.
