Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Troy, AL to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering positive community-focused experiences. You’ll focus on merchandising, processing freight, and maintaining store standards while ensuring a safe, productive work environment.

The role requires prior retail/management experience and strong communication, with physical duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Maintain areas of the store, stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight and ensure sales floor is merchandised effectively.
• Plan, merchandize, and maintain clips/Power Panels with in-stock items.
