Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in New Bedford, MA to assist the Store Manager with a dynamic team, merchandising, and freight processing.

You will help with store operations, stockroom and sales floor upkeep, and ensure a positive customer experience. Key duties include managing freight flow, stocking needs (including frozen & refrigerated items), executing monthly Sales Planners, and maintaining sales-effective displays.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentability, including bathrooms and floors.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
