Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Assistant at our Plano, TX hybrid work location. This role supports the merchandising team with new item setup, promo data entry, and SKUs lifecycle management while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure data integrity and promotional accuracy.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has interest in retail trends within the beauty industry. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all new item setup and maintenance in systems at a SKU Level; tracking and reporting on status of assigned products and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Assists Buyer in setting up promotions, seasonal programs and vendor coops; tracking and reporting on status of promotion setup and communicating with stakeholders.
• Assists the Buyer with creation and maintenance of planograms and visual displays.
• Assist in proofing marketing materials that will be available online or in store.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This will be a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasionally requires carrying, moving and setting up of computers, for example desktops, monitors, printers, and other small hardware in the testing lab.
