Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service products in Johnson City, TN, and surrounding stores. This on-site role requires regular travel within the territory and adherence to the schedule set by the Supervisor of Merchandising.

The position emphasizes merchandising accuracy, effective store relationships, and prompt communication. Training and eligibility for travel allowances are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products in stores to corporate standards.
• Replenish stock safely and efficiently; assemble shelves as needed.
• Service stores as scheduled; obtain prior approval for overtime.
• Record work hours and data using designated apps.
• Discuss additional duties with Supervisor before performing them.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation

• Competitive Wage $15 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.

• Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to the established schedule.

Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory

Requirements

Summary Of Responsibilities

100% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.

Other duties as assigned.
