Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a Merchandiser to service products in multiple stores in Christiansburg, VA. This on-site, part-time, non-exempt role involves travel between accounts and requires reliable transportation.

Responsibilities include merchandising to corporate standards, timely replenishment, and accurate time recording. Expect to work a scheduled weekday rotation with potential for overtime as needed.

Compensation

• Competitive Wage $15 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.

• Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to the established schedule.

Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory

Summary of Responsibilities

100% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.

Other duties as assigned.

Goals & Objectives

• Work stores as scheduled.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
• Regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
