Job summary

Dietz & Watson is hiring a Part-Time Merchandiser to support deli product displays, demos, and customer engagement. The role involves rotating deli cases, assembling setup equipment, and maintaining POS displays, with travel within a 20-mile radius of the hiring location.

The ideal candidate will have English reading/writing skills, basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and strong communication, organization, and creativity to build customer relationships and market

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid Real ID or Passport for travel.

Responsibilities

• Set up deli cases and rotate deli product.
• Assemble necessary equipment for case setup.
• Maintain marketing displays using POS.
• Attract customers to deli by product demos.
• Develop new recipes and sandwiches for demos.
• Complete reports including store surveys.
• Make regular store visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with deli managers and employees.
• Possess knowledge to create and market Dietz & Watson trays and sandwiches.
• Communicate updates to Account Manager (openings, closings).
• Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Travel within 20 miles of hiring location.
• Readiness for occasional warehouse conditions.

Job description

Our team is currently looking fora Part-Time Merchandiserto keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. TheMerchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli.

Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00 based on experience

The duties of a Dietz & Watson Merchandiser are listed below but not limited to the listed duties:

• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
• Assemble necessary equipment to use in the setting of cases
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)
• Attract customers to deli by demoing product
• Use inventiveness to come up with new recipes and/or sandwiches for demoing purposes
• Complete all reports as necessary including store surveys
• Make regular store visits
• Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques to deli managers and employees
• Possess the knowledge and ability to both create and market Dietz & Watson party trays and sandwiches
• Communicate any information deemed necessary to the Account Manager (i.e. grand openings, store closing, etc.)
• Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory
• Flexibility and ability to travel commute to territory within 20 miles of hiring location
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills
• Must be able to exercise independent decision-making skills on a regular basis
• Must have a reliable vehicle and must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 20 pounds frequently
