Job summary

Franz Family Bakery in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Sales Merchandiser to ensure our products are well displayed and stocked in local stores. This part-time role supports customers and store teams while promoting Franz products.

You will work 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, lift up to 40 pounds, and join a company with 4,000 employees nationwide and a history dating back to 1906. Benefits include holidays, pension, and product discounts.

Qualifications

• Part-time position; must be available to work between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a solid work history in merchandising.
• Experience in bread/bakery/food industry is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and handle bakery equipment and displays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bakery products in assigned stores, stocking shelves and rotating stock for freshness.
• Face products to create an appealing display for consumers in-store.
• Push/pull racks and handle trays and bakery items as needed.
• Keep displays neat and orderly across all assigned bakery products.

We are seeking a Sales Merchandiser to join our hard working and fast paced team based in Anchorage, AK. This team player will ensure our Franz Customers have the best products on their shelves.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining bakery products in assigned stores. This includes stocking shelves, rotating outdated products to ensure freshness, facing products to present bakery items in a pleasing manner for the consumer and maintaining a neat and orderly appearance to all assigned bakery products.
• Must be able to push/pull racks, handle trays and bakery products and utilize writing utensils.
• Required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
• Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• This is a part-time position and individuals must be available to work between the hours of 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays AND weekends; schedule to be discussed at time of interview.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a SOLID work history and 1+ years of experience in a similar merchandising position. Experience in bread/bakery/food industry a plus.
• This fast-paced position requires the ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, math test, physical and physical capacity test.
• Must possess a clean driving record and provide a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, plus maneuver large bulky racks of product.
• Must be highly organized, fast-paced and able to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization.
• Must have a proven work history of being reliable, safe and positive.
