Job summary

The Merchandiser at Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast ensures beverage availability, visibility, and promotion in retail stores throughout the NH territory. You will stock, rotate, and maintain product levels in displays and coolers to maximize sales and brand presence.

This role offers hands-on merchandising in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing teamwork, reliability, and relationship-building with store staff and managers. Physical stamina for lifting and standing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
• Experience operating pallet jacks or other manual/powered handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to repetitively lift 40–55 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver's license and insurance meeting company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail stores.
• Maintain product on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers by identifying replenishment needs.
• Transport product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment.
• Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns with set up of displays and signage.
• Secure damaged or defective product while maintaining a clean product space.
• Ensure accurate product counts by properly managing backrooms and organizing backstock.
• Operate manual and powered handling equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
• Maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status to store and company personnel.
• Follow company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to drive collaboration and merchandising opportunities.

Job Description

The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, visibility, and promotion of Coca-Cola beverages in retail stores across Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast’s territory. This role offers the opportunity to represent one of the world's most recognized brands and contribute to the success of our business. The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that beverage sections, displays, coolers and all points of availability are stocked and maintained with proper product levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail stores. This includes stocking shelves, rotating products, building displays, and ensuring product freshness.
• Maintain product on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers by identifying replenishment needs.
• Transport product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment
• Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns in accordance with company guidelines. Set up promotional displays and signage to attract customer attention and drive sales.
• Secure damaged or defective product while maintaining a clean product space.
• Ensure accurate product counts by properly managing backrooms and organizing backstock.
• Operate manual and powered handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.)
• Maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel.
• Follow company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to drive collaboration and maximize merchandising opportunities. Provide excellent customer service to address any inquiries or concerns.
• Write and place customer orders on an ad hoc basis, as business needs require.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience working in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
• Must have the ability to repetitively lift, push and pull up to 40-55 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach.
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
• Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets or exceeds company requirements.
