Job summary

Capital City Beverages, Inc. seeks a full-time Merchandiser to stock shelves, coolers, and displays, ensuring freshness and proper pricing. You will coordinate with an Account Representative to resolve issues and discuss market activity, while maintaining product knowledge of brands carried by the company.

The role requires early starts, weekend and holiday work, and a varied five-day schedule with shifts as early as 5:00 am depending on route and store requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and correctness of work.
• Strong commitment to tasks being completed on time.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Regularly bend, move and climb to merchandise shelves and displays.
• Observe safety and security procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 preferred).
• Valid Mississippi driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Own vehicle with required insurance and mobile device for business apps.

Job description

Restocks shelves, coolers, displays end caps, and other areas of the store. Maintains proper rotation of current stock to ensure product freshness. Merchandises shelves and displays with signage, POS display items, and pricing. Confers with their Account Representative to resolve customer problems and discuss competitive market activity. Maintains product knowledge of all brands and packages that company carries. Performs any additional duties and special tasks assigned by Sales Management.

This position is a full-time position with a varied five day workweek and is required to work weekends and most holidays. Start time for Merchandisers can be as early as 5:00 in the morning depending on the route and store requirements.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, move and climb in high, low and tight areas to merchandise shelves, coolers, and stock displays

• Able to use equipment and materials properly
• Able to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; Able to push/pull heavy loads
• Able to maneuver a dolly effectively
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years of age preferred)
• Valid Mississippi driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must have your own vehicle with the required insurance (you will be reimbursed through MOTUS program)
• Must have your own mobile device and will be required to use business applications (you will receive a partial reimbursement monthly)
