Job summary

Hawaii Coffee Company is seeking a Sales Service Associate for its Retail Services team in Hawaii. Under supervision, you will grow volume, facilitate order taking, and ensure merchandising standards for direct customers.

You will maintain shelves, process orders, manage inventory, support promotions, and build customer rapport while meeting monthly revenue goals. The role requires occasional travel from office to Retail accounts and adherence to safety and company policies.

Job Type: Non-Union Amount of Travel Required: Frequent travel from office to Retail accounts

Work Schedule: Monday-Sunday, Nights, Positions Supervised: None

Weekends and holidays as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the Supervision of the Retail Service Manager and Retail Service Supervisor, the Sales Service Associate is to grow volume and facilitate the order taking process as well as implement, execute and monitor merchandising standards for direct customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Establish and maintain Customer rapport by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Attain monthly volume and revenue goals.
  • Maintain product inventory to ensure adequate supply during promotional and non-promotional periods of all brands.
  • Create, process and manage product orders to support customer demand.
  • Receive and replenish product, ensuring shelf compliance with authorized schematics.
  • Arrange and manage return and credit of expired and damaged products.
  • Monitor weekly promotions
  • Maintaining proper rotation, clean and dusted areas on sales floor and back stock.
  • Maintain all shelves and displays for assigned locations
  • Coordinates and build secondary brand displays for promotional periods.
  • Maintenance of correct shelf and display labels, sale signage and pricing discrepancies
  • Meet all deadlines for completed paperwork including expense reports, mileage reports and merchandising daily logs
  • Performs job duties in a safe manner
  • Follows and adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Correctly and promptly follows specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Other Functions:
  • Constant communications with management on in stores observations
  • Monitors and reports competitive activity in the trade to Retail Services Manager.
  • Employ proper usage and handling of company issued equipment and devices.
  • Work closely with Paradise Beverages logistics department to ensure all accounts are kept current within Paradise Beverages’ delivery standards.
  • Report growth, expansion, or closing of accounts in assigned territory.
  • Adheres to company’s professional dress and appearance policy at all times, projecting a positive image of the company and our product line.
  • Recommends promotional items.
  • Communicate concerns regarding account inventory.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

The position requires a Valid Hawaii state driver’s license, personal vehicle with current registration and insurance that complies with company requirements. Must pass drug test and military background clearance for services to military accounts on military bases. Smart phone, email address and access to computer.

Experience: Experience and knowledge of marketing, merchandising and promotional techniques and materials is a plus but not required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft

Office applications. Integrated Retail Scanner, Bar Code Scanner, portable electronic

Devices.

Language: Well-developed verbal and written English communication skills.

The work environments will be indoor and outdoor as 40% of work is driving from one account to another. Most work is done independently. Occasionally a trainee or supervisor may work with you. Uniform, Company ID and closed to shoes required at all times. Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required.

Office conditions consist of a manufacture office in a controlled environment with moderate noise from the production area where coffee is roasted, packaged and stored.

Operates basic warehouse equipment including safely managing a hand truck, pallet jack, 6-wheeler wagon and a utility knife.
