Position Description
The Merchandiser is responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products in designated grocery and super store centers. This role fulfills all duties in line with Doll Distributing LLC’s objectives, standards, mission, policies, state laws, and brewery/supplier requirements.
Essential Functions
- Stock shelves, displays, and coolers with products daily at grocery stores and super store centers in accordance with company and brewery merchandising standards.
- Manage incoming product at stores by unloading trucks and pallets and placing product in back stock or on shelves.
- Organize product using proper rotation standards for freshness and quality, and face product on shelves.
- Condense and organize back stock and backrooms at customer locations to ensure cleanliness at all times.
- Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return.
- Place proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelf, displays, and coolers.
- Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customer.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Comply with all company safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Non Essential Functions
- Build, set, or move product displays at customer locations.
- Assist sales representatives with various tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLC.
- Effectively plan and organize work activities independently of direct supervision.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and understanding product portfolios.
- Show strong communication, customer relation, time management, and problem resolution skills.
- Possess working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and either entry‑level mobility or the ability to learn mobility.
- Work well with a diverse group of people and customers.
Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle for transportation between accounts. Provide updated insurance to the company as it renews.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Ability to work within multiple locations within the assigned territory.
- Provide own transportation to and from multiple work site locations.
Working Conditions
TEmperature/Climate: The position will spend 90% of the shift in a climate‑controlled environment and 10% of the shift outdoors.
Safety Considerations: This position requires driving a personal vehicle to customer locations in various weather conditions.
Physical and Mental Requirements: The individual must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, climb stairs frequently and safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, up to 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. The role demands significant physical activity throughout the shift in all weather conditions and requires attention to detail, problem‑solving, and decision‑making.
