Job summary

Community Coffee is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain brewing and serving equipment in a workshop setting. You’ll help ensure customers enjoy quality coffee by keeping equipment clean and reliable.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical or small appliance repair, familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals, and a valid driver’s license. HVAC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A passing score on an aptitude test may be accepted in lieu of a diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical or small appliance repair; HVAC experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals.
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued ID.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
• Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule repairs of brewing equipment to meet operational demands
• Inspect used parts to assess wear and dimensional changes
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to diagnose issues
• Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components
• Examine parts for defects, such as changes in form or texture
• Adjust and calibrate functional components and control instruments
• Repair or replace faulty parts, install new structural or functional components
• Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure smooth operation
• Conduct performance tests to verify repairs and ensure equipment functionality
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory of all repair parts
• May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.
