Job summary

Planet 13 Las Vegas is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional shopping experience and drive sales in a vibrant cannabis retail environment.

You will assist customers, explain product features, recommend merchandise, support teammates, and handle inventory and cash procedures while keeping displays clean and well-presented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports; speak effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using US money, weight, volume and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Must possess a Nevada Dispensary agent card and be 21 years of age or older.

Summary

Generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate maximizes non-marijuana sales by delivering efficient, friendly and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store is neat, clean and well-presented at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Professionally handling and advising customers of products and services resulting in the achievement of store sales targets.

Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features.

Recommends merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.

Work well and support co-workers to ensure outstanding service and sales.

Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.

Comply with inventory control procedures.

Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.

Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.

Education and/or Experience

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
