Job summary

Arc Thrift Stores in Colorado Springs is seeking a Department Assistant to support assigned departments. You will help merchandise, sort donations, and price items as needed, ensuring the floor stays stocked and inviting.

You will interact with customers, maintain shop appearance, and perform other duties directed, including tasks outside your primary area. The role is non-exempt and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to recognize merchandise quality and price it competitively.
• Ability to decide if merchandise is saleable and when to reduce prices.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, packages, and prices donations for assigned departments.
• Displays merchandise in designated areas on the sales floor.
• Performs responsibilities of various departments when pricer is absent.
• Assures production department is clean and materials are stocked.
• Cleans personal work area daily to remove dust and damaged goods.
• Keeps sales floor shoppable by ragging,Balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise.
• Performs other duties and special assignments as directed, including assignments, which may be outside the primary area of employment.
