Job summary

Northgate Market is hiring a General Merchandise Clerk for Store #20 on a part-time basis in California. The position offers an hourly range of $17.25 USD to $21 USD.

Primary duties include stocking refrigerated coolers and shelves, greeting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, rotating perishable goods, and assisting with displays. Education: high school or equivalent preferred; physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds; forklift certification if operated.

Qualifications

• Ability to hear, speak and respond to customer requests in a clear, courteous manner.
• Fluent English and Spanish reading/writing to understand policies and assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock refrigerated coolers, shelves and displays; build store displays for sales.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards per policy and health regulations.
• Rotate perishable merchandise and pull out-of-code items.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the store team leader or supervisor.
