Job Description

Part‑time position located in the Merchandise Department with variable/flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as required. Recruitment is open to both internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Retail Operations Director and Merchandise Supervisors, you will assist guests with purchasing selections by making appropriate suggestions, answering questions about products, hotel, tours, and Elvis. Process sales by entering correct prices in a computerized sales system using cash, checks, or credit cards; assist employees with discounts and obtain approvals for sales; stock and clean merchandise racks as required; notify supervisors when merchandise is needed; and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Experience using computerized cash systems and processing credit cards is helpful. Must be able to work with large sums of money accurately, cope with heavy workloads, and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone. Ability to prioritize, work with minimal supervision, pay close attention to detail, handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods, stoop and reach, speak clearly and distinctly, and lift packages weighing up to twenty‑five (25) pounds.

Special Conditions

No smoking or eating in the work area. Uniform is required.

Conditions of Employment
