Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
• Helping with hiring, training, and development of store associates.
• Supporting all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protecting company assets, including store cash, and adhering to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintaining store areas to company standards, including recovery efforts.
• When the Store Manager is not present, taking supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Processing corporate directives and related store communications.
• Managing freight flow, stocking, and inventory organization.
• Ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective daily and planning merchandising strategies.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
