Responsibilities:

• Assist with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
• Help with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated.
• Support all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, up to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives and related store communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Support freight flow management and meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering, stocking, and organizing merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
• Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily and plan merchandising strategies like Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Participate in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
