Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, take supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and related store communications.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Assist in managing freight flow and maintaining stockroom organization.
11. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
12. Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
13. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
14. Assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining promotional displays.
15. Support the Store Manager in planning and implementing monthly sales strategies.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prefer prior retail and management experience.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
