Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
2. Supporting hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
3. Performing all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed.
4. Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
5. Protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
6. Adhering to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
7. Maintaining a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
8. Maintaining store areas to company standards, including recovery.
9. Providing supervisory responsibility for hourly associates when the Store Manager is not present.
10. Processing all SSC Corporate directives and related store activities.
11. Managing freight flow and assisting in ordering and stocking merchandise.
12. Ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective daily and maintaining stockroom organization.
13. Planning and maintaining merchandising displays and sales planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
