Position Description

At PARIC, we are seeking an experienced MEP Senior Superintendent to lead field execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems on large, complex construction projects. This role is responsible for overall field leadership of MEP scopes, including safety, quality, schedule performance, trade partner coordination, system integration, and team development.

The MEP Senior Superintendent partners closely with Project Management, clients, engineers, commissioning teams, and trade partners to ensure MEP systems are planned, coordinated, installed, tested, and turned over successfully. This individual also plays a critical role in mentoring field teams, proactively managing risk, and driving operational excellence across the project lifecycle.

This role supports complex industrial projects, including manufacturing, food & beverage, and mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day field operations related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, process utilities, and specialty systems from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage and coordinate MEP trade partners while driving accountability for safety, quality, productivity, sequencing, and overall field performance
  • Develop and manage MEP installation sequencing, site logistics, short-term look-ahead schedules, and manpower strategies to maintain workflow and protect critical milestones
  • Partner closely with Project Managers and project leadership on staffing, procurement, schedule development, change management, and field execution strategies that support project profitability
  • Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, design gaps, trade coordination challenges, and schedule risks before they impact project performance
  • Lead MEP coordination efforts between structural, architectural, civil, process, and equipment systems to ensure complete system integration
  • Lead quality control efforts through daily field oversight, inspections, testing coordination, turnover planning, and enforcement of project specifications and company standards
  • Support preconstruction activities including constructability reviews, bid reviews, logistics planning, procurement strategy, and evaluation of field execution plans
  • Support startup, commissioning, and owner turnover activities to ensure systems are fully functional and operational requirements are met
  • Build strong working relationships with owners, design teams, inspectors, vendors, commissioning agents, and trade partners through clear communication and consistent follow-through
  • Serve as the senior MEP field leader on-site, communicating project updates, escalating critical issues, and driving solutions across all project stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop Field Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, and junior field leaders while building a high-performing team culture aligned with PARIC’s core values and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Apprenticeship program, Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, or equivalent field experience
  • 15+ years of commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction experience with significant MEP field leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience leading MEP installation on large, technically complex projects with multiple trades and integrated systems
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, logistics, commissioning, and MEP building systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and coordination models
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to influence teams and drive accountability
Why Join Us?
