Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Senior Engineer for their MEP team. This full-time, in-person role involves communication with vendors and clients, procurement and contract management, and support for commercial projects.

Position Overview

Senior Engineer – MEP team, Richmond, VA. Full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
• Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring effective coordination and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, relevant field, or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP systems and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues.
