Job description

Join to apply for the MEP Project Engineer- Capital Project Delivery role at CBRE.

About the role:

The Project Engineer supports capital project delivery at a major pharmaceutical client site. They act as an onsite technical resource, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure all technical aspects of project delivery are accurately identified and implemented throughout the project lifecycle. This position also ensures seamless integration of project deliverables into onsite CBRE operations and maintenance teams. The role reports to the Director of Project Management, with guidance from the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring alignment between operations, maintenance personnel, and the project delivery team throughout the project.
  2. Assisting in the development of project planning work.
  3. Collaborating with external consultants to explore project options and define a scope that aligns with site standards and project goals.
  4. Providing technical mentorship on Commissioning and Qualification work to meet engineering and quality standards.
  5. Participating in routine project meetings and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
  6. Authoring change control documents and ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
  7. Performing measurement uncertainty calculations for critical instrumentation.
  8. Building or modifying Lockout-Tagout protocols for equipment.
  9. Authoring Facility Protection Plans for projects in occupied areas.
  10. Completing data uploads into the maintenance management system.
  11. Verifying field redlines of drawings and updating the management system accordingly.
  12. Assisting in environmental sampling coordination.
  13. Revising or creating Standard Operating Procedures.
  14. Upholding CBRE's Zero Incident safety culture.
  15. Prioritizing tasks to meet project objectives and maintaining timely communication with the Project Manager.
  16. Ensuring high-quality services from all service providers and vendors.
  17. Supporting multiple projects simultaneously with strong multitasking skills.
  18. Promoting CBRE values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence, along with a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  19. Solving complex problems arising from sophisticated situations.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or engineering preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with Commissioning and Qualification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a Pharmaceutical site is advantageous.
