Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering students to join our Phoenix, Arizona office for an in-person internship. This role focuses on hands-on mechanical engineering tasks and exposure to HVAC design within a multidisciplinary team.

As an intern, you will utilize technical software to analyze and QC client deliverables, learn regulatory practices, and support project managers across diverse projects such as airports and facilities.

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters).

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
• Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design.
• Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.
