Job summary

MCGI Corp seeks a Senior MEP Manager for mission critical/data center projects in Texas. The role leads coordination, commissioning, and installation of complex building systems from preconstruction through turnover.

Strong leadership and communication are essential to manage multi-trade teams and ensure on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial construction with MEP coordination and data center experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with MEP coordination.
• Mission critical or data center experience is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, DDC, Test & Balance, fire/life safety.
• Experience leading complex coordination meetings with multi-trade teams.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and construction scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and fire sprinkler systems.
• Manage coordination between owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Oversee planning and installation of HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems.
• Support balancing, commissioning, validation, and system turnover documentation.
• Assist in development and execution of MEP commissioning and integrated testing plans.
• Coordinate factory start-up, FAT, and major equipment installation.
• Manage and mentor MEP coordinators and engineering staff assigned to the project.
• Support preconstruction efforts, subcontractor scoping, and procurement.
• Work closely with project executives, superintendents, and regional leadership teams.
• Help manage field coordination with mechanical and electrical trades as needed.

Senior MEP Manager – Mission Critical / Data Center Projects

Multiple Locations Across Texas

We are currently partnering with several leading General Contractors that are actively seeking MEP Managers and MEP Coordinator to support complex commercial and mission critical/data center projects across Texas.

These firms are delivering large-scale technical facilities and high-performance buildings, and are expanding their teams to support a strong pipeline of projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced MEP professional who can lead coordination, commissioning, and installation of complex building systems from preconstruction through project turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and fire sprinkler systems
• Manage coordination between owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
• Oversee planning and installation of HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems
• Support balancing, commissioning, validation, and system turnover documentation
• Assist in development and execution of MEP commissioning and integrated testing plans
• Coordinate factory start-up, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and major equipment installation
• Manage and mentor MEP coordinators and engineering staff assigned to the project

• Help manage field coordination with mechanical and electrical trades as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred but not required
