infocepts.INC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering efforts in Ames, IA. The role oversees design, layout, and documentation across multiple projects, while coordinating with project managers and clients.

The candidate will mentor staff, enforce engineering standards, and drive performance improvements. A PE license and 7+ years in related fields are required, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, mechanical, or related engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure required.
• 7+ years’ experience in construction or mechanical engineering fields.
• 5 years in a supervisor or manager role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering department across mechanical projects.
• Oversee full-cycle design and layout of projects.
• Coordinate weekly schedules with project managers and clients.
• Mentor and develop staff; evaluate performance.
