Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role involves assisting in the design and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects, specifically supporting functionality and compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in MEP engineering and a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering.
• Strong technical skills and willingness to develop project management abilities.
• Understanding of federal and state codes governing MEP design.
• Plumbing and Fire protection experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of flow diagrams for mechanical systems.
• Perform heat load and static pressure calculations.
• Support in sizing equipment and ductwork to meet project specifications.
• Assist in designing basic one-line risers.
• Support in specifying fire alarm devices.
• Contribute to lighting and control plans, ensuring compliance with design standards.
• Help determine power and feeder requirements for mechanical systems.
