A consulting company in construction is seeking a qualified field inspector to ensure compliance with construction activities in Midland, Texas. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in inspecting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations. Qualifications

Salary

• Base pay: $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr (adjusted based on skills and experience).
• Relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and quality standards.
• Maintain proactive communication and detailed documentation to support successful project delivery.
• Support project‑specific role tied to a facility construction contract in Midland County.
• Document daily reports and coordinate QA/QC testing labs as needed.

This position requires relocation to Midland, Texas for at least 1 year. Opportunity for extension or reassignment may be available based on performance and future workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or Associate’s degree in construction, engineering, or inspection‑related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience on inspecting mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations, ideally in West Texas or similar environments.
• Strong familiarity with construction codes (IBC, IRC, ADA, local ordinances) and industry inspection protocols.
• Proficient in reading plans, redlines, and construction details.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills; ability to produce thorough daily reports and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently, outdoors in varying weather conditions, and communicate effectively with all levels of project personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with facilities.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing installations.
• ICC Certification(s) or equivalent inspection credentials.
• Experience using construction management software (e.g., Procore, E-Builder).
• Coordinating QA/QC and testing labs experience.
