Job summary
CAI is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to lead the installation, startup, and testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems on complex projects in Houston. You will drive commissioning plans, test protocols, and documentation across all project phases.
Role requires strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems, with proven commissioning experience in mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field).
- Proven Commissioning Engineer experience in life sciences, semiconductors, or mission-critical industries.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures and testing methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee commissioning of MEP and control systems for projects.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to meet specs.
- Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans and testing schedules.
- Prepare Pre-Functional Checklists and Functional Performance Test protocols.
- Assist with design review of MEP systems.
- Coordinate field activities with technicians and trade partners.
- Perform functional performance tests to verify design parameters.
- Prepare test reports and commissioning documentation.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
