Job summary

Bella Vida Center in Chico, CA is seeking a Mental Health Worker/Direct Care Staff to support residents in a Short-Term Crisis Residential Treatment Program. You will lead rehabilitation activities, supervise clients in group settings, and help with meals and documentation, under supervision from the Administrator.

This per diem role requires CPR and a California driver license. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, reporting noncompliance, assisting with crisis assessments and referrals,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time direct-care experience with mental health clients.
• CPR certification required.
• California driver license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and conduct rehabilitation activities as directed by the Administrator.
• Conduct group social activities and exercises with clients.
• Prepare meals for the clients.
• Keep records and prepare written reports on incidents.
• Communicate the ARF rules and objectives to clients, document and immediately report noncompliance to Administrator.
• Monitor and maintain a line of sight on all clients to ensure their safety.
• Report any sign of pre-crisis behavior to the Administrator.
• Ensure that clients take their medications on time or in accordance with the direction of the administrator.
• May participate in clients' assessments and evaluations, crisis counseling, case management, safety maintenance, referrals, chart recording and other duties as directed.
• May accompany clients to offsite community resources or events.

Bella Vida Center is a Short-Term Crisis Residential Treatment Program that specializes in the treatmentof clients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or crisis. The 24-hour residential facility mission is to help clients to regain optimal functionality in order to reenter their community and live healthyindependent lives.

Under the direction and supervision of the Administrator or Program Director, the Mental HealthWorker/Direct Care Staff performs a variety of programs and social activities in the facility, andperforms related work as required.

Supervision Received:

The Mental Health Technician/Direct Care Staff receives supervision and directions from the Administrator.

Supervision Exercised:

None.

Educational Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of full-time work experience providing direct care and supervision to clients with mental health illness.

License/Certification Required:

CPR Certification Required.

CA Driver license (and good driving record)

Must pass physical health and drug screening tests, and must pass criminal background check.

Job Types: Per Diem

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
