Familylinks in Western Pennsylvania seeks a Family Based Mental Health Professional to deliver therapy to children, adolescents, and families in home and community settings, including crisis intervention and crisis management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling, plus CASSP family services experience. Travel across Allegheny County, on-call crisis support, and HIPAA-compliant documentation are expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required or considered with coursework in human services
• 1+ years' experience in CASSP or family services and crisis intervention
• WPIC training program in Structural Family Therapy being pursued or completed
• Strong planning and time management; organizational skills
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle
• Ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and manage multiple tasks

The Family Based Mental Health Professional is a member of the Family Based Mental Health Program and provides therapy to children, adolescents, and their families in the home and community settings. The works includes utilization of various therapeutic methods and techniques as applicable to youth and/or families experiencing problems related to mental health and family crisis. The Family Based Mental Health Professional provides individual and family crisis intervention.

Wage offered: $48k-$52k annually

Family Based Mental Health Professional Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health services for children and adolescents in their home and/or community setting who are on the verge of a crisis, in the midst of a crisis, or on the verge of an out-of-home placement.
• Implement and maintain the Family Based program's philosophy, principles, and procedures in all facets of performance.
• Provide individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, and families.
• Provide assessment of strengths and therapeutic needs of child and families.
• Conduct case management for the family to ensure all referrals and resources are put into place.
• Determine the clinical need for special evaluations and services.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation per assigned standards.
• Provide crisis intervention on an on-call rotation / Responsible for answering the crisis phone and handling all crisis situations for assigned week on an on-call rotation

Family Based Mental Health Professional Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required. (Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience)
• 1+ years' experience working in a Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) working in family services and crisis intervention
• Successfully participate with the three-year WPIC training program in Structural Family Therapy.
• Planning and time management as well as strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, along with access to a vehicle
• Management of work processes along with strong computer skills for documentation purposes.
• Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
• Ability to be flexible especially with scheduling and site locations and to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks.
• Ability to develop effective working relationship with professional team, parents, schools, CYF and JPO systems.

Working Conditions

• This position provides therapy in-home and, in the community, traveling to various locations throughout Allegheny County including clients' homes, schools, high-risk neighborhoods etc.
• Availability for evening therapy sessions, along with occasional weekend availability
• Attendance for staff meetings, supervisions and trainings are typically held at either the Highlands Office, Shady Avenue or Banksville Road locations, and designated WPIC training locations.
• Ability to lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds of files.
• May do some pushing, pulling, standing and walking (1-3 hours)
